Information For Authors

Authors must follow these guidelines to ensure submissions to the Journal of Interdisciplinary Science and Technology meet editorial standards for clarity, originality, and interdisciplinary relevance.

Submission Preparation

Prepare manuscripts in Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx) using A4 paper size, 1.5 line spacing, justified text, and 12-pt Times New Roman font. Include line numbers and page numbers. Limit research articles to 8,000-10,000 words (excluding references, tables, figures); review articles up to 12,000 words. Submit via the OJS portal as separate files: title page, blinded manuscript, figures/tables, and cover letter.

Manuscript Structure

1. Title Page (Non-Blinded)

  • Title & Authors: Provide a concise title (≤15 words). List full author names, institutional affiliations, and email addresses.
  • Corresponding Author: Clearly designate the corresponding author with an asterisk (*) and provide their details.
  • Declarations: Include funding acknowledgments and a statement regarding any conflicts of interest.

2. Abstract and Keywords

  • Abstract: Provide an unstructured summary of 150–250 words outlining the objectives, methods, results, and conclusions without using citations.
  • Keywords: Include a list of 4–6 relevant keywords immediately following the abstract.

3. Main Text Structure

  • Organize the manuscript using Roman numerals for primary headings.
  • The main body should follow the structure demonstrated in JIST: I. INTRODUCTION, II. LITERATURE REVIEW, III. METHODOLOGY, and IV. CONCLUSION.
  • Use alphabetical letters for subheadings (e.g., A. Data Collection and Preprocessing).

4. References (IEEE/Numbered Style)

  • In-Text Citations: Cite references in the text using sequential numbers enclosed in square brackets (e.g., [1] or [4], [5]). When citing multiple sources, group them (e.g., [10]-[12]).
  • Reference List: Place the reference list at the end of the manuscript under V. REFERENCE. List sources numerically in the order they were cited, using standard IEEE format (author initials first, abbreviated journal titles).
  • Limit: Up to 50 references for research articles.

5. Figures and Tables

  • Submit high-resolution files (300 dpi).
  • Number sequentially as they appear in the text, accompanied by descriptive captions.
  • Limit to a maximum of 8 total figures/tables.

6. Competing Interests

  • Include a dedicated section stating relevant disclosures or explicitly state: "The authors declare no competing interests."

Originality and Ethics

Submissions must be original, unpublished, and not under review elsewhere. Obtain ethical approvals (IRB/IEC) for human/animal studies; report via dedicated section. Plagiarism (including self-plagiarism) exceeds 20% similarity (checked via tools like Turnitin). All authors must approve submission and agree on order (no changes post-submission without justification).
